Getting out of your comfort zone
The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone.
Before we start, I want to talk a little bit, setting a foot out of our comfort zone.
Right now, YOU ARE VERY BRAVE.
Because YOU ARE STEPPING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE RIGHT NOW, RIGHT HERE. And for that, I thank you sincerely for choosing me to start this fantastic journey with you.
Starting a new journey can be scary. But, you know, the best things happen outside of your comfort zone. If you breathe deeply and allow yourself to be okay being a little bit uncomfortable, great things are going to happen to you.
Now, I want you to consider this: whatever is frightening you right now (writing, changing your diet, learning something new, showing your picture online, etc), be assured that it’s not as scary as it looks.
You’re not alone in feeling fear when you step out of your comfort zone.
We all feel uncomfortable! We all feel fear when we do something for the first time! We all have insecurities! Only when you breathe and still do what you want to do despite feeling that fear, despite being uncomfortable, is when the world opens to you at its best.
Yubing Zhang went bungee jumping once, and it was terrifying. But, that made her realize that being in the comfort zone is just stagnant. Stepping out of your comfort zone is where the cool things happen.
Luvvie Ajayi also walks the uncomfortable cool zone where cool things happen. She is a blogger and puts herself out there daily. It’s not easy, but it’s gratifying.
Farrah Storr is adamant: we won’t discover who we can become unless we step outside of the comfort zone. Dare to do something different, and thrive!
