Loki: Journey into Mystery. God of Stories.

Journey into Mystery [The Book Depository] [Waterstones] gets emotional with Loki becoming the God of Stories. We all know that Loki is the God of Mischief, and the God of Lies. But Kid Loki is something more and better: he does have a heart, and he does care. But his nature is mischief, and enables him to create stories that weren’t there in the first place.

Thanks to the heist we know that Loki and company broke into the Serpent’s realm to steal or do something mischievous. Loki’s plan is simple: to add some lines into the Serpent’s story so that he can help Thor. Since Gods aren’t making history but stories, he’s able to add something into the Serpent’s life.

But that means that the profecy will come to be. According to it, Thor will fight the Serpent, win it, walk some steps and die. If Loki helps his brother, he will make sure that the profecy happens, and so Thor will die. This might have been good news to the Old Loki. However, these are terrible news for Kid Loki. For he doesn’t wish his brother to die.

After writing the seed of fear into the Serpent’s story, he goes back to Asgard where he sees how his plan has been successful. So he cries. He does so not because he’s happy, but because his brother died. This is something unthinkable for Old Loki, trapped in the magpie. He didn’t give Loki another opportunity for him to be that tender. Angry, the magpie flies to where it all started. Now that Loki hasn’t Thor’s protection, he’s alone in the wild.

Thor was the only one who truly gave him a new opportunity. But the rest of Asgard doesn’t like Loki. Plus, they don’t have any idea about the good deeds that he did for them. Asgardians might discover that Loki freed some hellish monsters in order to fulfil the profecy. Surtur is crashing and evouring the Serpent’s home. But now he’s free and can perfectly go to Asgard to play. He also made pacts with Mefisto and Hela.

When even Loki’s magpie disappears, future looks grim for him. Leah might be his friend, but she’s one among a vast amount of enemies and distrusting parties. No one trusts Loki, not even himself (the magpie has Old Loki’s spirit). So, what’s the magpie planing to do? What will happen to Loki next? Will he have any friends? Journey into Mystery [The Book Depository] [Waterstones] is getting more and more complicated.
