The new Avengers Infinity War trailer premiered during the Super Bowl, and it left me breathless. With the theme of “once and for all,” it jampacks a lot of information in just thirty seconds. All our favorite Superheroes will be facing the worst threat until now in the MCU. But before we take a closer look at every detail, let’s take a closer look at the new teaser trailer.
I’ll start with Loki. Everything points to him going to the dark side again. However, if you take a closer look at our favorite trickster, you’ll notice that his eyes are watery.
It’s just some seconds of footage, but they’re enough as to explain volumes. I still believe that he’ll trick the way out of whatever contract he made with Thanos. But it might come at a high cost, and he knows it deep down in his soul. Maybe that’s why he stalled for so long in Asgard having fun. Just take a look at those watery eyes and tell me he isn’t in deep trouble.
The Vision has an infinity stone in the middle of his forehead. He seems to be asking for help, or something is done to him. Scarlett Witch appears to be helping him. (In the comics, they were lovers.) Then we also see some scenes of our favorite Superheroes preparing for war. Thor, for example, is teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. We can see him along with Rocket Racoon and Teen Groot.
Something is amiss, something dark is coming to mess around, and they’ll try whatever to save the day. Including, badass Wakanda tech devices. While Captain America is making fans swoon all over his beard, he’s all about rocking new shields from Wakanda. The war is coming, and we do have the Black Panther to offer assistance. In fact, Wakanda seems to be one of the battlefields where we’ll see our heroes battle.
It’s also interesting to see how the Black Widow’s hair fashion is changing. We’re used to seeing her as a redhead. However, it seems like she’s going to be blonde during the Infinity War. Maybe it’s just a change in her fashion style, or perhaps something happens to her that makes her change? Whatever the case, I like her more as a blondie.
And finally, we can see Spidey attached to what looks like an alien ship that’s going into orbit. And that can be critical news because he doesn’t know how to fly, and he needs oxygen to live. I just hope that Spidey isn’t that damaged during this film or the ones to come. We just got him in the MCU, and it would be devastating to part with him! (I doubt they’ll do that though.)
All in all, Avengers Infinity War Super Bowl trailer left me speechless. I have more questions in my head, and I’m worried sick for Loki. Why is Marvel messing up with our feelings so much? Why?
