Brighton Pride 2017: fun and colors!
Last year Brighton Pride was amazing. And this year was brilliant! I had a blast, lots of fun among many different colors. My plans this year were different from the previous one. This time I wanted to eat rainbow cake. I know that I can do that whenever I want, but I just thought it fitted the day perfectly! So, what we did first was going to the Parade and see lots of colors and fun.
After around two hours of Parade, we were quite tired. So, we ended up in a fancy restaurant to enjoy the traditional English Breakfast. We ate a lot and enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Plus, we could relax a lot. It was fantastic. But the best part came next: rainbow cake.
So, we went to our favorite cupcake shop and ordered a slice of rainbow cake. It was massive! So much so, that I could only eat a part of it.
I couldn’t help myself, and I had to go to the Pride with a small Funko Pop. So, I took Harley Quinn out with me. And, before I could put my teeth on the cake, I took some pictures of Harley along with the cake. The cake was amazing, but perhaps a little too sweet for my taste. I haven’t been eating sugar for a long time, so I guess I couldn’t finish the cake because of that.
Whatever the case, I was happy I could at least taste some rainbow cake as I had planned. After that, I went to the beach.
When we arrived at the beach, it was quiet and beautiful. But as time went by, more and more people gathered in front of the sea. Perhaps this was one of my favorite moments during the Pride. Maybe because it was relaxing, and we needed some strength before we would go dancing to the main street in Kemptown.
Brighton closes up Kemptown, and it becomes a massive party. People gather around the pubs that have live music on the street, and they start dancing. Although to be fair, I like to be a little far away from the main road. It’s way more relaxing.
We ended up in the same pub we went last year, the Malborough. It had mostly 80s and 90s music, which is nice. Plus, it also had vegan food! I had to take some dinner because I was starving. I know, I had an English breakfast in the morning, and then a piece of cake. And yet, when 9 pm arrived, my stomach was growling.
All in all, I had a great time. I ate a lot, I relaxed a lot, and I danced a lot. Have you gone to a Pride nearby your home? What was it like?

That cake looks amazing! I haven’t been to a Pride event. Sometimes I think about going but not sure I belong? Maybe one day I’ll tag along with some friends.
It’s super fun! The Parade here is more for everyone. You can see families and all. It’s also cool because you can even get free goodies xDDDD
Glad you had a great time! I missed out on Pride for where I’m from, eventually I would like to go.

OMG! The cake was perfect!!! ๐ But, I need to share it with someone, because slices are huge, and there’s no way I can finish one alone ๐ฎ
That cake looks so tasty! I’ve yet to go to Pride, but one day I hope to get down to Boston (the closest major city to me for big celebrations) and experience it!
Ehehehe ๐ Choose a nice spot (without much sun… coz you can easily burn T_T) and get fun with the Parade ๐ Here it’s super fun ๐ And, sometimes, you also get goodies ๐ Many shops also have special things going on, so you should check that before attending (cakes, menus, etc). It’s worth the look ๐
It sounds like you had such a brilliant day! I’d love to go to Brighton Pride some day! I went to my first Pride event last year, in Manchester and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was lovely, everyone was super friendly and it was just a really fun day. The parade was fantastic! I’d love to go again this year but my wallet won’t permit ๐ That rainbow cake looks so delicious! x
