Funko Pops and Books of the Week: Clever Fits
The Funko Pops and book matches of the week are pretty clever fits. Well, that’s what I think. I decided to take a more geeky approach and add some programming gear to the pot. So, this week we have some Pops from Futurama, Sesame Street, Marvel and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
I’d like to start with Bender. He loves beer, and basic programming computer games. Kidding! It’s true that he loves beer, but I have no idea about his programming skills. Either way, I thought he was the best match for this vintage book. (Advice: choose something cool like Swift if you want to create cool Apps.)
Futurama wouldn’t be the same without Doctor Zoidberg. This kindred spirit loves romance. Well, at least that’s what his color says. So, I matched him with Rainbow Rowell’s Kindred Spirits
from World Book Day.
Sometimes I like to read while taking some cookies with my coffee. But I never arrive to the dregree of the Cookie Monster: he devours them. I decided to match him with The Martian Chronicles
. Not because the Cookie Monster is a Martian, but because of the cover colors.
To know what The Gods Themselves end up reading, we must ask Thor
. I guess she loves Isaac Asimov, so I matched her with one of Asimov’s masterpiece. I love Thor’s Pop, she’s really cute. [To be honest, I have too many Thors, already. I got a small collection of Thors and Lokis.]
And finally, another shelfie. I know that I have all the Shadowhunters books behind Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Pops
, but I thought it was funny. I want to re-order the shelf yet again, so I might come up with another arrangement.
Note: this post contains affiliate links. You can find all the books on The Book Depository as well. I only share things that I love.
