Comics THORsday: VOTE LOKI #3 (+ Giveaway)
This week we Vote Loki in its third issue (and we also have a giveaway). We’ve seen that Loki is playing tricks to have more votes. What is his ultimate goal? In this issue, we find Latvia run with terrorists. But, are they really on their own agenda or someone else’s? Meanwhile, we can see the candidates to the Presidency of the US having debates along with Loki. Should the US send more troops to Latveria? Or less? The other two candidates are a man and a woman (ring a bell?)
This is a significant issue where we can see some parallels with reality: Latveria is the Middle East, and the other two candidates that appear in the debate along with Loki seem to represent Hillary and Trump!
Loki seems to embrace his role as a politician rather well: he seems to enjoy all things human. And that includes ice-cream. While his appeal is growing, his tricks seem to have an agenda that no one can guess, not even our favorite journalist Nisa Contreras. She just wants to show up to the world that Loki isn’t who he says he is.
But let’s be real: what politician is? As with reality, the candidates in Loki’s world mirror the ones we can see on the television. Both Hillary and Trump have things to hide. (I won’t start talking about Trump or it will take ages.)
In this issue, we’ll also take a look at how media works. What do you think? Is media also responsible for creating monsters that we’d like to burn out later on?
