Villains Giveaway: because everybody likes a good villain! Exactly! We love good villains because they’re badass, they do what they want, and some are pretty handsome like Loki. Multi-dimensional villains are the best, but we must reckon that without the villains, even if they’re mono-dimensional in their attitudes, make great heroes. Without villains, heroes, anti-heroes, and superheroes wouldn’t exist at all! So, they’re the key for heroism. Without the wicked, dark and twisted villains, heroes would have no job at all. To celebrate the excellent villains that we love and fear, a group of incredible blogs has put their strength together, and they’re setting themselves to get into an adventure: a mammoth Villains giveaway! You’ll find beautiful treasures in each blog related to different villains. Do you want to know the best part? You could win one, two or even three giveaways!
Wait! What did you say? Let’s break the rules for giveaways à la villain: instead of giving away one big pot among many bloggers, let’s give away many different treasures so that we can have many winners! And with this spirit, dePepi sets to have four winners! Read why I chose these villains and took part in this giveaway by entering through the widget you’ll find at the end of the post. Also, check the links to the other blogs that are taking part in this villainous adventure to participate in their giveaways too!
So, there will be four winners from dePepi:
- Exclusive Marvel Collector Corps Morbius Funko Pop (1 winner)
- Marvel Loki huge pendant (1 winner)
- Marvel Collector Corps Venom mini Funko Pop (1 winner)
- Marvel Collector Corps Red Skull patch and Green Goblin pin (1 winner)
All these are Marvel villains, and as you already know, my favorite one is Loki. But, there are some others that also quite badass. [Though, I must admit that they will never win Loki here.]
Morbius, aka Dr. Michael Morbius, was a villain for The Amazing Spider-Man (he appeared in issue #101). He was created by writer Roy Thomas and designed by Gil Kane. He is a man who has vampire attributes and abilities resulting from a biochemical experiment gone wrong. He started as a villain and then evolved to be a flawed character in his own series.
As you know, under the Comics Code Authority ban, vampires and monsters and gruesome characters were forbidden. But soon after the ban was sweetened, Stan Lee and company decided to put some spices into the comics. And soon Morbius appeared into the picture. If you like vampires, you’re going to love this guy: a villain who turns into a troubled guy.
Loki, as you might already know, is the brother of Thor in the Marvel universe. He is the Trickster God of Asgard and a quite interesting guy. [If you want to know more about him, you can purchase Geek Anthropology of Loki’s Army or take a look at this blog from time to time; I tend to talk about him a lot.] He is fun, an anti-hero at times, a villain at others, and a funky teen many others. He’s had many reincarnations, and he’s quite handsome in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to Tom Hiddleston. Who could ask for more?
The Red Skull is a badass. Not only he was ranked number 21 on Wizard Magazine’s Tom 100 Greatest Villains ever, but he also ranked as IGN’s 14th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time! But, who is this guy? He is a supervillain, Captain America’s greatest foe. He is the ultimate Nazi agent created by Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and France Herron. [And since the new Marvel movies, we all know that the Red Skull has Agent Smith connections… and Elvish ones.]
The Green Goblin is the archnemesis of Spiderman. He is one of the many supervillains that live in the Spiderverse. Born Norman Osborn, he is a Halloween-themed supervillain that will bring you nightmares: he has weapons that are like bats, ghosts, and jack-o’-lanterns. He is a pain in the ass and has a terrifying smile.
Venom can be a little bit disgusting (I don’t like his tongue). Venom appeared in The Amazing Spiderman #300 for the first time back in 1988. He was a supervillain, and his first host was Spiderman himself. However, he has evolved to be an antihero. He’s been tagged by S.H.I.E.L.D. as the greatest threat to humanity along with Magneto, Red Skull, and Doctor Doom! He’s been also ranked 22nd Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time in IGN’s list of the top 100 comic villains! But hang on, there’s more! Mac Gargan’s incarnation of Venom was ranked as #17 in IGN’s “The Top 50 Avengers,” and his Flash Thompson incarnation was ranked as #27 in the same list. He was also listed as #33 on Empire Magazine’s 50 Greatest Comic Book Characters. [Note, Deadpool made Venom Symbiote crazy! Yes, Deadpool had the guts to be one of his hosts too! Alas, it went nuts.]
Use this widget to have a chance to win one of the four treasures from this blog! Good luck, my villains!

Hi there, I’m Kay, an artist, mum, and geek. My days are spent with my five-year-old daughter having all sorts of homeschool and outdoor adventures while my nights are spent making art or snuggling up with the hubs to catch up on the TV shows we are perpetually behind on. Other than art, I’m a big fan of reading, drinking cups of tea, playing D&D, and spending time outside. You can find me on my blog where I ramble about art stuff, adventures with my kiddo, and some geekier topics like comic/book reviews and such. To see more of my art, check out my Instagram for a lot of works-in-progress and sketches.

Reader, Dreamer, Adventurer, Gamer, Herbivore, Rocker, Ravenclaw, Dork – Emma is a jack of all nerd trades, who works behind a desk during the day, but by night, she is Scruffy Little Nerd Herder. With the help of her two turtle sidekicks, a disgustingly obsessive love of pizza, and more sparkles and glitter than an adult should own, she lives her nerd life one day at a time, documenting it as she goes.
