Yay! The Premio Dardos Award

I am super honored, happy and delighted with My Open Sketchbook! She has given me the Premio Dardos Award!! (You can imagine me performing a happy dance!) But wait, what is the Premio Dardos Award? It is an award that acknowledges the values that bloggers show on their blogs in transmitting cultural, ethical, literal and personal values. This award was created to befriend and promote bloggers while adding value to the web through expressing gratitude to them. In short, it is a great honor to be awarded a Premio Dardos Award!!

Natalie Patalie: if you want to discover new books and comics, this is the blog where to stop by. Not only is super cute, you will also find a new world and new suggestions about books. Plus gaming and personal stuff. You can also find super cute x stylish x geeky giveaways and projects to fall in love with. This blog rocks.

The Nifty Nerd: all about geek culture plus great ideas on how to DIY at home. Oh! And the recipes! You have to try them out! Yummy and geeky. I also love all the DIY ideas, although I must admit that I love reading how to do stuff more than trying them out. LOL This blog is a pool of geeky culture and great geek ideas. And that’s why I love it so much!

Oh Sweet Samsara: don’t check this blog if you don’t want ideas on how to crash your credit card. I am serious! (I always say that to myself… but I end up checking it out because she has this awesome posts with all these super cute selections of geeky items that you fall in love with.) I also love the Fandom Friday posts. Oh Sweet Evil Samsara!

Her Story Arc: females of the world, unite! Need to know everything about geeks and women? This is it! I love this blog because I always find new perspectives and what’s going on into the geek world with us: females. If you’re a feminist and want that men and women are treated in equal terms as equals, then you will love this blog as much as I do.

From Girlie to Nerdy: if you have been resisting your geeky environment all of your life and finally have joined the geek tribe, then you’re going to love this new blog. I enjoy it a lot because you can read the great journey into geekdom and fandom of someone who was… immune? Plus her Fandom Fridays are super cool.

Now, my three fun facts (or paranoias):

1. I read the Tarot and I designed some oracle decks.

I like modern Tarot cards, and I read them. I say modern because the old designs aren’t cute and well… I like the cute ones. Though I have many decks, I always end up using the same one (Druid Craft Tarot). I also read the Lenormand, and I even designed some decks (my first one was Alice in Wonderland Petit Lenormand). They come in handy to spook people during Halloween in a kawaii way. So, if you happen to visit me around Halloween you’ll provably end up eating pumpkin-related food while staring at some cards while I read them to you 😉

2. I still bow while talking on the phone, before crossing the street or when I want to apologize…

There’s nothing I can do to prevent this habit that I acquired while living during 8 years in Japan. Three years after returning home I still do them! If I am conscious, I will provably think about not bowing… but I know that I do it when I see other people’s faces. Damn, did it again! I also use other Japanese gestures for communication and I don’t realize that I do it till it might be too late… So, my gestures are all messed up. I sometimes think that I must look like an anime character… Oh, well, that’s life!

3. I have interesting shipping tastes.

If you’ve been reading me for a while, this comes to no surprise at all. But if you’ve just pop up here… well… I do ship controversy. For some reason I tend to ship what others think it’s a big nope or couples that fire controversy all over. For example: Thorki, Wincest, Wincestiel, TaserTricks, Snape/Hermione, Sabriel… The list goes one, and there is no real pattern. I only know that people around me end up like Dean in the gif above.
