Funko Friday is back with Doctor Strange and Doctor Cumberstrange. I wasn’t a fan of Doctor Strange until I started to read the comics this year. The art is fantastic, and the story is compelling. But I must confess: I started reading the comics because I couldn’t wait to see Cumberbatch on the big screen as Cumberstrange! It turns out that the comics are brilliant! And so, now I have high hopes for the movie. And when this happens, I need to own the Pops. There are two different versions of Doctor Strange so far: the comics one and the Cumber-version. And so, I needed both. Plus, there might be more in October thanks to Marvel Collector Corps. (Guess who is going to get one of the boxes! Yes! Me!)

I first bought the original Doctor Strange with the traditional fashion in the comics. He is super cute! However, I needed the Funko 2016 Summer Convention Exclusive. He was expensive! I bought Doctor Cumberstrange from the local comic book store here in Brighton. Dave’s it’s a cool shop, it’s small, but it has a little bit of everything and tons of Pops. And, they do bring exclusives from the US. Hail Dave’s for taking my money!

Doctor Cumberstrange is super cute too. But he is Cumberbatch! (I have a Sherlock Pop, and now Cumberstrange is just another version of Cumberbatch, which is making things difficult. Should I start a CumberPop collection? Oh, wait! I already did!) All the details of this Pop are amazing. The quality of the Pops is going up, a thing that I really appreciate.

One of the reasons for me becoming a Doctor Strange fan is the message: endless possibilities. The world can be seen from many points of view, not just one. And so, reality can be very different for different people. I’m in love with the comics, the Pops, and I hope I’ll love the movie too!

Will you join the Cumberparty?
