Tada~! Another fantastic unboxing Marvel Collector Corps post with Women of Power! Funny, and at the same time, not funny at all, when you have the mail carrier ringing your bell at 7.30 am in the morning. I jumped like it was the end of the world! Why? I was sleeping like a rock! Every time the mail carrier comes around 7 am in the morning and rings the bell I jump and get scared. I could tell you many reasons, but I think it might be connected to the Big Earthquake I experience in Tokyo back in 2011. It wasn’t until I had the Women of Power box between my hands that I could start processing what was going on: cool goodies inside a box. And this time, it’s all about Women of Power!
I must admit that I’ve seen spoilers around. I couldn’t escape them since I saw everything on Instagram. However, I don’t mind them. For me, unboxing is an experience that has to be savored with your senses, and that implies touching the goodies. As you know, some of my favorite Marvel Superheroes were featured in the box! No wonder I was super excited to find a super cool Spider-Gwen tee in it! (I’ve been fangirling about that tee during all morning!)
The tee is so soft! And I love that it’s gray. I prefer soft colors than the darker ones. Sorry Marver Collector Corps: I love it better when it’s gray! After fangirling with Spider-Gwen, I started to fangirl with Ms. Marvel! I just hoped we would have a Ms.Marvel Funko, but alas, there’s none in the box. I just hope that Funko will end up creating a Ms. Marvel Pop soon! Anyway, the patch will be enough for the time being. (It’s not but I’m just going to cheat myself and say that it will be sufficient…) Spider-Woman pin is super cool! I already found a place for it on one of my bags.
The two minis are adorable: Captain Marvel and the She-Hulk! I cannot state the amount of cuteness overload these two mini figurines emanate. They’re so sweet and badass at the same time! I love them both! They already found a cool place on my working desk.
The comic book is good: Civil War II. I already read it, and it’s catchy. It feels like a little bit of Minority Report in a sense. I have too many comics to read at the moment so that I will catch up with it later on.
And finally, the star of the box: Squirrel Girl Funko Pop. I’m not a fan of Squirrel Girl (yet). However, the Pop is too cute to say no to it! Squirrel Girl has a super badass Squirrel tail, and she comes with a tiny companion. Again: the cuteness overload here is incredible too. And, the pose is just the one to do. I put her on my desk as well. Why? Okay, I might not be a fan, but staring at the bobblehead with that super badass pose is just a must when your day is super gloomy!
And so, despite waking up spooked by the dang mail carrier, the surprise box he brought me was worth it. Now, my working desk is rocking some fierce Marvel Women who are ready to fight whatever comes in their way! Plus, I got a super cool Spider-Gwen tee to rock along with my beloved Spider-Gwen hoodie!
The next box is Spiderman. So, I’m keeping the subscription again! I already have a Miles Morales Pop that came in previous boxes; now I wonder what they’ll include in August box. It’s going to be hard, though since there’s quite a bunch of merch out there already. But, it’s Spidey, you know. So, I need that box!
(And yes, as you might be thinking, this lady is going to get Spider-Gwen Pop soon.)
