Comics THORsday comes back with the Vision! (And with a delay) In the Vision #4, we can see what prejudice and fear are starting to do to the Visions and the people around them. Prejudice and fear are what the community has towards the Visions. However, Dad, the Vision, is still hoping that they can fit in. Ignorant of what his wife did, he tries to educate his children as well as he can. He is very American, and as you can see, plays with his kids like any other Dad would. His kids are just like any other kids. The difference is just their looks and their ways of expressing themselves, pretty alien for humans. So, will Vision’s wish of achieving normalcy come into fruition?
When you’re bullied at school, or in general anywhere you are, it’s normal to think that people hate you. No wonder Vision’s kids think that people hate them. However, Vision, as a good man and Dad, tries to teach them just to prove them wrong. They don’t know you. Hence, they cannot hate you. They might hate the idea of you, but since ideas can be change, you can change how they look at you. Easier said than done, though.
This poses a question: can people overcome fear? As we can see, a friend of Vision’s daughter can. But how long will that last?
Sometimes kids are quicker in their emotions, and as fast as they can hate you, they can also come to terms with their mistakes. But, as adults, can we do the same? If we let fear set in our hearts, we’re just bound to disaster. Vision’s wife fears for her kids, for herself, for her family. He fears others as much as others fear her. What can prejudice and fear lead us to? That’s what the Vision is about to discover.
