This time, Fandom Friday gets quite personal. We have to disclose 5
geeky things in our purse at all times. Opening the depths and horrors of my purse is quite an intimate thing to share, and a delicate one. Some of the stuff in there is a little bit unusual. Perhaps this is not exactly the contents of a female purse. Don’t worry, I’m not going the MacGyver way… Not yet, at least.
1. Funko Pop Figurines. [Hang on! What did you say!?]
Yes, Funko Pop figurines! I always have some minis into my purse, because I enjoy taking pictures of them when I go out, wherever I might be. Though, it’s usually coffee shops. I sometimes even go out with some full sized pops. Yes, the regular ones. This means that I end up having a super funky purse.
2. AKF beanie. [And sometimes the Pikachu beanie!]
I don’t want to lose my head, so I’m walking up and down with a beanie. Why? The air in Brighton is strong and too cold! I want my ears attached to my head, and keep my hair where it is. So, I need a beanie. My favorite one is my AKF beanie. For those who don’t know, AKF stands for Always Keep Fighting. It’s a good and profound motto that allows me to fight anything, including the cold wind. Recently I also got a Pikachu beanie, so when I want to spice things up, I use the Pikachu one.
3. iPhone battery survival kit. [I need batteries more than I need lipsticks.]
More than lipsticks, what I need is extra batteries for my iPhone. Why? Because I take tons of pictures with it! Not only I use several different apps for communication, I also decorate the pictures on the spot and end up sharing them at that moment or later on. So, yes, my iPhone ends up needing more than one drink at the end of the day.
4. A book or the iPad Mini. [Because I need to read and write!]
Because you never know when you’re going to find a super cute and cozy coffee shop, one of the best solutions is to walk around with a book and/or the iPad Mini. But just in case. Though most of the times it’s a book that ends up in my purse, I might sometimes take my iPad mini away too. I am a heavy reader, and I also write a lot. So, I need those tools all he time with me!
5. Yes, finally! A tiny black pouch with a red heart with some lady stuff! [You already thought there wouldn’t be any, didn’t you!?]
That small pouch has some lady stuff that I end up using rarely. Some stuff into that pouch cannot be qualified as items for emergencies, basically because I carry around an Omamori (a Japanese good luck charm) in it as well. However, it has come in handy sometimes. You never know when you’ll need a bandage.
And yes, that’s how the items look like. And yes, that sheep shaped pouch is the iPhone emergency kit :p
