Fandom Friday: 5 Fandom Holiday Recommendations

Welcome to a great Fandom Friday! We’re going to explore five fandom holiday recommendations. I know, the original topic was not directly related to fandoms, but I couldn’t resist, so all my holiday recommendations are related to fandom. Prepare yourself, because you might find something on my list you’re going to love doing during this winter holidays. Prepared? Let’s go!

1. Watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Star Wars cries out loud “winter holidays” to me. Star Wars was one of the first films that I went to watch the movies. The one to introduce me into Star Wars was no other than my mother. [Hey Harrison Ford!] If you’ve read my blog, you already know that it was her to introduce me to Star Trek. Though we’re Trekkers we also love the Dark Side of the Force, so, this family of Siths prepares to have fun at the movies. And yes: during winter. Because it’s a winter movie to enjoy with family.

2. Explore the beauty of Crimson Peak (if you haven’t done it yet).

I know, this is not exactly one of the best choices for a Xmas night movie. BUT, it’s beautiful, and you have Tom Hiddleston in it. [Lame fan excuse, as you can read, but this Goth version of Loki needs my attention.] I don’t think this is extremely spooky, but somewhat disturbing. As a whole, it looks beautiful, and just for that, why not give it a try?

3. Enjoy Star Trek Xmas songs. Let’s make it so!

I love this song! I know, it’s weird to have Captain Picard sing a Xmas song, but it works and is really funny! Plus, he makes it so! IF you want to add some extras to the song, some Xmas Star Trek decorations would be a good idea. Although I’m not sure, Klingon ones are peaceful enough for parties. [Unless there’s blood wine.]

4. Let’s go geeking all the way!

I know that we end up shipping every day as fangirls, but it’s winter holidays when we can go geeking all the way! What are you going to binge watch during this Xmas? Perhaps Jessica Jones? An classic like Buffy? Supernatural? [Yeah, I’m that nuts!] Let’s go geeking all the way binge watching our favorite shows! [Remember to eat, though, and sleep. Sleep is important.]

5. Torture your fangirl friends providing misleading clues on the awesome presents you bought for them. [Oh! This is so much fun!]

This is my favorite sport during winter holidays: to get badass fandom presents for my friends and torture them with misleading clues about what the presents might be. It’s sweet and funny to see the answers they provide me with, and how they become oh-so-nervous as the date for exchanging the presents approaches. I just love it!

My aunt is a master at the misleading clues! One year I thought she got me a bird but she had bought me Baltimore Orioles tickets. Close enough! LOL

I cant wait for Star Wars and I LOVED Crimson Peak, even though it was not exactly what I expected, and I didn’t used to see Tom Hiddleston before but now I SEE it, omg hes super hot and sensual in this movie!!

    • I can’t wait for Star Wars either!! I need it badly!!!!! And as for Tom: OMG TOM! I started following him coz of Loki 3:) All those mischievous thoughts! 😉

    Goth Loki is amazing

  • All the fandoms! I’m making my way through Supernatural….for the first time! And we’re trying to catch up on Orphan Black. And start Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell. And the books to read! Definitely geeking all the way this Christmas (and thanks for sharing the adorable animation!)

    • Yeah! All the fandoms!!! 😀 😀 That’s a lot to watch! I mean, SPN is awesome, and long! Yay! Let’s geek all the way :p I love that! (Yeah the animation is so good! And funny!)

      • Considering I can only watch TV one day a week, really….it’s taking me forever! I thought SPN was, like, 6 seasons. But IMDB says it’s on season 11 and still airing! I’m a little intimidated now… 😉

        • Well, at least you’re sure to have a great supply of fun thanks to having endless seasons of great shows 😉 I mean, like that you can be sure you can get fun for a long long time 😉 And that’s great!

  • I love it!! All of the fandoms!! Except Crimson Peak….I can’t do scary or thrillers.

    • All the fandoms yes!!! 😀 😀 I can’t do scary either but I’m going to watch Crimson Peak xDDDD I might end up hiding in the corridor of the cinema or run away, but I’m trying LOL
