Today I want to share about my Funkomania, and why I started collecting Supernatural Funko Pops. (And why I use fanfic names on their pairings though their main mission is to live on my desk and stare at me while I’m working.) For starters: I cannot resist these figurines! They’re too cute as to let them stay far from me, especially if they belong to one of the fandoms I love.
Pop counts aside, these small figurines brighten my day. Instead of having them on a shelf, something I should be considering, I have decided to put them around me on my desk. So, while I work, I have lots and lots of huge eyes staring back at me. It sounds creepy, right?
Star Trek TNG, Spock, The Big Bang Theory, Marvel, Disney and Minion pops share my table along with books, pens and notebooks. All these pops are living in small groups (except for Sheldon who really doesn’t like pop contact). There are crossovers, but there is also some fanfic pop going on!!
I’ve got Sam, Dean and Cas, and I’ve named the group Wincestiel. Yup, like the mischievous ship. They live just in front of my nerdy books now. I know, it’s nuts. But it’s cute. But, why would I name pop groups with ship names? Why would I take pics of them making fun while using ship naming? Well, it’s funnier that way!
Being cute and mischievous is fun. So, pops are the best source to achieve that. Beware though, if you start collecting these figurines, even if you say that you’ll stick to your number one fandom, there’s a high risk that you’ll end up collecting other super cute pops as well. (I said I just wanted a Loki and now I have a fanfic world on my table!)
So, yup, I am collecting supernatural pops that are eager to enter into fanfic ships on my table. It does sound mischievous, doesn’t it. Now tell me, wouldn’t you love to have a Wincestiel on yours? :p
